Jacksonville Beach, Neptune Beach, and Atlantic Beach are contiguous communities bordered to the west by the Intracoastal Waterway and to the east by the Atlantic Ocean and lying just north of the St. Johns County line in Duval County.  The Beaches offer a coastal lifestyle with fishing, boating, kayaking, stand up paddling, surfing, beach volleyball, walking and biking.  With both the ocean and the ICW nearby, outdoor opportunities are endless.

Just to the north of Jacksonville Beach is Neptune Beach.  At 2.5 total square miles, Neptune is the smallest of the three beach cities and was a part of Jacksonville Beach until a tax revolt in 1931 when a majority of residents voted to establish their own city.  It may not be large and is a bit quieter than the town centers of the other two but it offers the same beach vibe as its larger neighbors and contributes  about 3200 residential properties.
